Studies and researches are often carried out by collecting information from a representative sample of the population that we want to study. Micro Centre Pythagore may be associated to sample selection or it could accompany to ensure selection of samples done with the usually accepted criteria in order to be subsequently able to generalize the results. Micro Centre Pythagore can rely on specific tools, especially EduStat software to constitute samples conform to commonly use plans. From the usually available databases on the population to be surveyed, it is possible to select items (individuals or schools) taking into account the agreed plan. It will also be possible to produce lists, reports and files that can help managers run the project. Finally, it is necessary to perform the computation of participation rates and the weighting of the elements included in the sample if the plan so provides.
